Pop-up Book as Art Installation
The movable book concept, idealized in the 1300s, is constantly re-imagined by people who continue to find ways to make the printed form as interesting as modern digital advancements. Faltjahr 2010, created by Johann Volkmer from Bielefeld, Germany – is a collection of twelve intricately crafted wall sculptures presented as an eclectic calendar and annual planner. The monochrome theme of graphical forms test the power of paper and its structural capabilities.
