Amy Thompson, who recently completed an MA in Fashion Bodywear at DeMontfort University, uses transparent armour pieces to manipulate and exaggerate the shape of the body. The fresh color palate along with an other-worldly feel- the translucent qualities of the polypropylene armor add a softness to the graphic prints, which reminds one of Mondrian’s linear, colour blocked canvases. Unconventional materials complement her design process. Amy Thompson is certainly one to watch.
